Responsibilities

The Physician Liaison Market Manager is responsible for organizing, leading, and maintaining a team of Physician Liaisons within a given territory to achieve their individual KPI’s while maintaining UVVC's brand standards and their own book of business.

  • Assists in recruiting, onboarding, training, coaching, and motivating Physician Liaisons to achieve and surpass outlined growth goals.
  • Responsible for team performance, development, and retention of top talent.
  • Responsible for overall management of direct reports.
  • Utilize reports and CRM to have a complete understanding of team's metrics and performance.
  • Partners with Human Resources, Operations, Training, and Business Development Director to develop, implement, and evolve training program for Physician Liaisons.
  • Actively coaches team members by conducting ride-alongs, typically every 4-6 weeks (requires regular travel, up to 75% of time).
  • Ensures that all team members effectively and consistently navigate the referral relationship funnel/sales cycle.
  • Partners with each Physician Liaison to create sales plans to achieve/exceed growth goals.
  • Creates transparent and clear communications/messaging strategy for his/her designated territory and ensures effective deployment via Physician Liaison team.
  • Actively participates in development of annual, quarterly, and monthly growth objectives and partners closely with Physician Liaisons to determine the portfolio of referrals that can be earned from targeted physicians/practices.
  • Monitors and reports market and competitor information.
  • Partners with internal and external physicians to understand the motivations and needs that serve as accelerants or barriers to referral growth and identifies opportunities to eliminate barriers and capitalize on strengths.
  • Shares best practices and program enhancements to accelerate the evolution of all referral efforts across territory.
  • Acts as a back up when a Physician Liaison is out of the office.

  • Maintain the confidentiality and security of Protected Health Information (PHI) in accordance with UVVC policies, the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), and other applicable laws and regulations. PHI is a top priority of our organization.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 3 years in relevant Referral Development/Sales with demonstrated success in healthcare.
  • 1 years leading sales/outreach teams with demonstrated success.
  • Demonstrated ability to utilize market data and field intelligence to uncover and capitalize on new market opportunities and achieve sustained referral growth by navigating the referral relationship funnel/sales cycle.
  • Experience with Salesforce CRM.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, problem-solving, and presentation skills.
  • Strong understanding of the healthcare industry, including political, economic, and competitive market factors.
  • Proven track record of success in customer service, sales, or referral development and demonstrated desire to grow and assume greater responsibility.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and motivate staff to achieve results and meet business objectives.
  • Demonstrated ability to reach decisions, take appropriate action, and follow through to progress the team.
  • Ability to both lead and actively participate as a member of a team to achieve common goals. Must be able to work closely with peers, operations, and other key team members to determine best practices and implement new strategies and workflows.
  • Ability to think creatively and perform quickly. A take-charge, problem-solving attitude is important.
  • Actively demonstrates commitment to excellent service to all customers, both internal and external.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze information, reach decision point, and execute appropriate actions.
  • Very strong relationship building and communication skills.
  • Must assure discreet and confidential handling of all business information and understand regulatory guidelines.
  • Strong listening skills with the ability to analyze complex information and problem solve.
  • Demonstrated success working independently and without close supervision.
  • Dependable; able to meet reliable attendance and punctuality standards for the role.
  • Must be able and willing to travel on a regular basis within assigned market. Must show proof of (and maintain) minimum personal auto insurance coverage of $100,000 for bodily injury liability per person, $300,000 for bodily injury liability per accident, and $50,000 for property damage liability.
