About The Role

DBE Utility Services (a division of United Utility) is seeking a full-time Field Safety Representative for the project team in south/central Florida. DBE is an underground utility company with its main headquarters located in Palm Beach County, FL, and a satellite office in Jacksonville, FL. We specialize in directional drilling, water, sewer, gas, fiber, and power.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and oversee safety programs and policies on construction sites.
• Conduct regular safety inspections, identify hazards, and recommend corrective actions.
• Provide safety training to employees and contractors.
• Investigate accidents and incidents, analyzing root causes and recommending preventative measures.
• Stay updated on industry regulations and ensure compliance.
• Collaborate with project teams to integrate safety into all aspects of construction.

Key Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in a related field.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in construction safety.
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Proficiency in using safety management software.
• A commitment to promoting a diverse and inclusive work environment.

Key Nice-To-Haves

• Certified Safety Professional (CSP)
• Occupational Health and Safety Technician (OHST)
• Master's degree in Occupational Health and Safety.
