Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Cable Technician to join our team. As a Cable Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing various types of cables and network infrastructure. This is a hands-on position that requires strong technical skills and the ability to work in both indoor and outdoor environments.
Responsibilities:
- Install, terminate, and test Ethernet and fiber optic cables
- Perform network installations and configurations
- Conduct fiber splicing and troubleshooting
- Troubleshoot and repair cable faults
- Install and configure network equipment, including Cisco routers
- Provide field service support to customers
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects
- Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Cable Technician or in a similar role preferred
- Strong knowledge of computer networking principles
- Proficiency in Ethernet and fiber optic cable installation and termination
- Familiarity with network equipment, such as Cisco routers
- Basic electrical and mechanical knowledge
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
