The Nurse Educator plans, develops and coordinates continuing clinical education programs within the hospital for all staff as well as Cerner training. The Educator works with hospital leadership and staff to access current educational needs and develops a plan to satisfy those needs. The position also assists in ongoing revision and implementation of policies and procedures that align with accrediting organizational standards. The Educator will keep staff up to date on current trends and progression of nursing practice and patient care in the industry. The educator will also provide in-service education for all new equipment as well as competencies.

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing
• Current RN license in TN
• BLS required
• ACLS required
• Leadership experience in Preop/PACU Neuro/Ortho setting preferred
• Demonstrates clinical competency, leadership, and teaching capabilities
