USPI Advanced Surgery Center of Boerne is seeking a motivated Medical Assistant to join our team. We have 2 OR rooms and 1 Procedure room.

We perform outpatient surgical procedures in Pain Management, Spine, Orthopedic, Total Joint replacements. We are looking for a candidate to be available Monday-Friday, schedule subject to changed based on surgical schedule and flow of day.

Candidate needs to be available for some early mornings and later evenings.

Job Summary : The Medical Assistant maintains all endoscope equipment in a safe, efficient manner according to OSHA, SGNA, and manufacture guidelines.

Maintain work environment in keeping with infection control guidelines to promote quality patient care. Functions within the philosophy, policies and procedures of the ASC and represents the practice within and outside the organization.

Works cooperatively with all other staff members. This position reports to the Charge Nurse and ASC Director.

Required Skills

Qualifications :

High school diploma or GED required

Medical Assistant, Certified Nurse Assistant or Patient Care Technician clinical training.

BLS certification required

One Year experience directly related to duties and responsibilities specified.

USPI complies with federal, state, and / or local laws regarding mandatory vaccination of its workforce. If you are offered this position and must be vaccinated under any applicable law, you will be required to show proof of full vaccination or obtain an approval of a religious or medical exemption prior to your start date.

If you receive an exemption from the vaccination requirement, you will be required to submit to regular testing in accordance with the law.
