This position is responsible for the daily retrieval, assembly and data entry of patient charges, ensuring accuracy and quality.

Salary Range : $16.83 - $23.38

Hours : Monday - Friday, 8 : 00a-4 : 00p

Required Skills

Minimum Education and Experience

• High school diploma or GED
• Prior data entry experience in a hospital setting preferred.

Required Skills

• PC competency, working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Word / Excel)
• Must be familiar with healthcare industry concepts, practices, and procedures.

Essential Functions

• Accurate and timely entry of all Pre-Op, Surgery and PACU supplies, implants and medications.
• Ensuring all charges are entered and verified within 4 days of patient discharge.
• Analyzes all charge forms for accuracy and completeness.
• Responsible for returning and inquiring on missing or incomplete forms to the appropriate department manager for correction or completion.
• Analyzes and verifies all appropriate charges have been entered utilizing preliminary billing report prior to verifying each profile.
• Ensures documentation meets current standards and policies
• Reports daily on production.
• Retrieves patient charge sheets daily, accurately and efficiently assembles and verifies all necessary forms are present.
• Returns necessary documents to appropriate departments and maintains a copy of supply charges for a period of three months.
• Works closely with Materials Management department, notifying them of any supply quantity updates needed or new items that must be added to the system.
• Other duties as assigned.
