The Process Control Engineer will:

• Administer the U. S. Steel Safety program to ensure a safe work environment within the assigned facility.
• Perform a full range of process control duties in the blast furnace area.
• Learn and understand the iron and steelmaking process.
• Review, revise and update procedures.
• Analyze, process data, and make recommendations to fine tune operations.
• Work directly with the operators to solve problems involving safety, environmental and process issues in the blast furnace.
• Conduct data analysis and report generation. 

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mineral Processing, Metallurgical, or Chemical Engineering.
• Preferred candidate will have mining or heavy industry experience.
• Coordination and direction of the safe, efficient, and economical operation of the facility.
• Skilled in the directing and coordinating efforts of employees assigned to the operating facility to maximize operating efficiencies with minimum interruption.
