General Summary:
Assist the Training Manager with the administration and coordination of training and staff development programs, utilizing knowledge of effectiveness of methods such as classroom training, online and computer based, on-the-job (OTJ) training, blended learning, demonstrations, seminars, and workshops. Organizing training programs to help workers maintain or improve job skills. Management and maintenance of BVS (corporate learning management system) system.

Major Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist Training Manager with identifying learning and development needs and resources for our employees.
  • Work with the Training Manager on managing and maintaining BVS.
  • Engage with applicable staff to deliver training and coordinate logistics for training sessions.
  • Develop and disseminate an internal learning, training and development e-newsletter/calendar for employees.
  • Coordinate, administer, evaluate, and monitor success of training programs. Follow-up with participants to ensure training objectives are met.
  • Working with the Training Manager, analyze training needs through surveys, interviews with employees, focus groups, or consultations with managers in order to develop new training programs or modify and improve existing programs.
  • Complies with all applicable Rules, Regulations and Statutes of the NCUA and other appropriate governing bodies to include but not limited to: the Credit Union Bylaws, Bank Secrecy Act, Fair Housing Act, Fair Lending Act, and Fair Credit Reporting.
  • Performs other administrative and training duties as assigned. Ability to maintain confidential information.

Required Experience:

Education: * High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience: Two (2) years general work experience required with preferably two years of supporting training, development, or systems preferably in a financial service setting.
Skills: Ability to understand a broad range of financial service operations and duties and effectively develop training material and programs for them. Proficiency with PC applications such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint required. Strong organization skills required. Experience with online learning platforms / environments preferred.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills required. Dynamic public speaking and presentation skills required. Ability to work professionally with a variety of staff, management, members, and vendors.
Supervisory: None required.
Time in Service: None required.
