United States Seafoods is a Commercial Fishing Company with factory trawlers out of Alaska. We are looking for entry level and experienced crew members to work on board our vessels. We are looking for full-time, long-term employees who are willing to work a rotating schedule throughout the year.

United States Seafoods is currently recruiting for a qualified Factory Tech to work on one of our factory trawlers. A qualified Factory Tech should have Minimum of 1 year of experience working onboard marine vessels, with previous experience working in and maintaining a production facility or a comparable mechanical background. United States Seafoods fishes from January to November. Total crew size is 50 -70 crewmembers. Crew work on a rotational schedule with roughly 65 days on/ 60 days off. 

A Factory Tech will - 

• install, maintain and repair equipment onboard the vessel
• Modify, fabricate and repair factory equipment as requested by Factory Manager
• Maintain adequate and accurate inventory of necessary parts and supplies
• Troubleshoot problems with equipment and determine the most effective means of repair
• Participate in daily factory walk through with Factory Manager
• Report any concerns directly to Engineering and Master
• Communicate on a daily basis with Factory Manager and Engineering
• Responsible for factory shipyard and repair work lists including ordering of parts required for the jobs in a timely manner
• Report to the Captain or Supervisor immediately of all unsafe or un-seaworthy conditions

Requirements

• Vessel Experience Preferred
• Mechanical Aptitude
• Welding Skills
