Job Summary:

This individual will be responsible in strengthening Messer’s share in the Bakery and Prepared Foods segment, building a successful strategy and action plan with the team. Other responsibilities will include overall profit in the segment along with strong focus on future industry trends. The role will assist in application development, product launches and team development.

Principal Responsibilities:

• Strong customer relationships to include renewing and defending existing
• P&L for the industry segment.
• Interface for their respective
• Monitor or influence trade associations.
• Training and developing team members.
• Develop successful strategy and tactical actual plan to penetrate North America.
• Understand industry trends, assist in selecting and justifying new products and technologies to sell in North

• Oversee applications start-up activities including interfacing with project execution, markets engineering and the
• Participate in and approve project budget
• Participate with regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with adopted environmental, safety and technical code

Required Skills:

• Functional skills: Selling skills and negotiations, Problem solving, Written and oral communication, Product/Process knowledge, Continuous learning, Customer Relationship Management, Planning and organizing (completing paperwork, accounts receivable, profit and loss, etc.), Financial & Forecasting, marketing and deep understanding of industry trends

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Engineering
• Masters degree is a plus
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in application sales to include deep knowledge in one or more of the following industries: food, metals, industrial, or chemicals.
• Team management experience leading a high performing team preferred.
