Operation's Specialist

Location: Richmond, VA

Pay: $43,680/HR

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8AM-5PM (Hybrid after training)

A Day in the Role

• Coordinate inland cargo movement to include communication amongst all relevant parties such as customer, truckers, and terminal operators.

• Liaison for procurement matters between branch offices and transportation vendors.

• Obtain ocean freight pricing and summarize all charges to branch office for review.

• Assist with contract renewal negotiations with ocean carriers.

• Analyze market fluctuations and communicate data to branch offices.

• Conduct market research utilizing 3rd party tools to assist with creating newsletters and customer market updates.

• Assist branch offices with troubleshooting of documentation, operational and pricing issues, or discrepancies.

• Create, monitor, and adjust Voyage Instructions.

• Manage invoice approval for USEC & Gulf Ports.

• Liaison for vessel incidents between vessel and trade management.

• Interacts with other KAM offices, Vendors, and Vessel Captains.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required

• Experience utilizing Excel (Pivot Tables)
