United Staffing Solutions, a leader in the healthcare staffing industry, is seeking dedicated Registered Nurses specializing in Oncology for a hospital in Rochester, NY. The ideal candidate will provide compassionate care to oncology patients, collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, and ensure the highest quality of patient care.

Pay: $85/hr with weekly pay

Duties of the Oncology Nurse:

• Administer chemotherapy treatments and medications as prescribed
• Monitor patients for adverse reactions and side effects
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and symptom management
• Coordinate with physicians and healthcare providers to develop individualized care plans
• Perform assessments, including physical examinations and symptom evaluations
• Assist in procedures such as bone marrow biopsies and lumbar punctures
• Document patient care activities accurately and timely

Skills and Requirements needed for the Oncology Nurse:

• Active NYS RN License
• ACLS - AHA Required
• BLA - AHA Required
• Chemotherapy Certification Required
• Knowledge of workers' compensation law related to oncology patients
• Familiarity with medical imaging techniques for oncology diagnosis and treatment
• Ability to ventilate patients when necessary
• Experience in ostomy care for patients undergoing surgical interventions
• Understanding of trauma medicine principles in an oncology setting
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality standards
• Skill in dialysis procedures for patients with renal complications
• Familiarity with botulinum toxin treatment for symptom management
