United Security is Hiring a Part Time Security Officer Near Cambridge, MA
Monday-Tuesday & Thursday, 5pm-9pm
- Patrols assigned areas by either vehicle or foot to check for fires, vandalism, suspicious activity or persons or safety/fire hazards.
- Investigates and/or reports hazards, unusual or suspicious circumstances to supervisors for correction or follow-up actions.
- Checks doors of buildings to ensure they are tightly closed and locked; notes in written log any unlocked doors; submits information to supervisor.
- Observes activity and traffic in assigned area to enforce rules/regulations; alerts visitors of infractions.
- Assists any persons in building or on grounds needing directions or information.
- Escorts people/property to desired destination when monies, documents or safety of property or persons are a concern.
- Responds to alarms and dispatched calls; decides what actions to take based on situation, facts known and position limitations.
- May assist law enforcement officers with crowd control and surveillance at large public events.
- Knowledge of basic security and fire inspection procedures
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent level of customer service
- Ability to observe and report
- Ability to problem solve/make decisions
- Detail-oriented
- Ability to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods of time
- Customer service experience preferred
- High School Diploma/GED Equivalent
- Driver's License/clean driving record for vehicle patrol positions
- Candidates must also be able to successfully pass ALL pre-employment screenings
