We distribute produce to national and independent grocers, restaurants, schools, and other institutions to provide them with high-quality produce sourced from local farmers and growers across the globe.

Responsibilities:

• Properly inspect inbound trucks for proper cleanliness and product temperatures once they are assigned a door.
• Records and checks quantity and quality of goods received for conformity to purchase orders and specifications
• Ensures that shipper BOLs and our receiving paperwork match.
• Sort and segregate all items on each load.
• Properly count and tags each pallet with pallet license plate for correct item being received.
• Properly enter correct pack/expire dates on products received.
• Enter proper weights on random weight items.
• Inputs stock items into computer/scan gun and stores produce in the assigned location in or around warehouse
• Ensures all picks (slot locations) are full and ready for each warehouse shift
• Other duties as assigned

Experience and Skill Requirements:

• 6 months or more experience with electric sit-down forklift and pallet jack
• Ability to pick up, turn and lift 30-40 lbs repeatedly
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work overtime, weekends and holidays
• Effective listening skills
• Attention to detail
• Effectively work as a team member and independently as needed
• Positive, can-do attitude team player with a strong work ethic
• Work in a refrigerated environment
