United Safety & Survivability Corporation is Hiring a CAD Technician (FT) Near Exton, PA
- Create detailed drawings in CAD from existing models and manage drawings in Enterprise PDM (the Vault).
- Revise existing drawing in CAD according to engineering and Engineering Change Order (ECO) direction.
- Perform basic CAD modelling (part creation as well as part revisions).
- Perform basic CAD assembly work (assembly creation as well as assembly revisions).
- Work through the ECO process to release and revise items for fabrication, purchase, and production.
- Enter and maintain part numbers, bills of materials and items into our ERP system, Syteline.
- Enter and maintain routing data and vendor information for purchased items.
- Create work procedures and document assembly instructions for various products and processes.
- Work closely and cross functionally with various Engineering divisions and business departments.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Comprehensive computer skills with the ability to quickly become competent with various software programs (MS office suite required).
- Proven experience with CAD drafting programs and methodologies.
- Prior experience with SolidWorks, and SolidEdge and/or AutoCAD a plus.
- Strong mechanical ability and an aptitude for drawing and detailing work.
- Solid organizational skills to help manage multiple areas of activity.
- An understanding of general manufacturing concepts and workflow.
- Ability to work in a team environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Capacity to work independently for extended periods without losing focus.
- Ability to respond and adapt to change favorably and quickly.
- Follow verbal and written instructions, directions and other communication in English.
- Safety is at the forefront of your mind when you are working and you gladly follow all safety policies to promote a safe working environment at USSC.
- You bring with you a positive attitude and the ability to work cohesively in a team environment.
- Help USSC operate effectively by adhering to USSC’s attendance and punctuality standards and does not burden co-workers and supervisors unfairly with unnecessary and unplanned absences and lateness.
- Understanding that you are part of a growing company, you have no concerns with and able to work extended hours/over-time as needed as well as some Saturdays to support that growth.
