Essential Job Functions:
Promote safety first in all actions.
Work in tandem with CSC managers in your assigned region to help prioritize equipment to be serviced in UPT shops on a daily basis.
Authorize all significant repairs to company equipment. Authorization should be given only after consulting with maintenance personnel at facility and providing support for the requested service which may include visual verification of repairs.
Assure all work orders assigned to maintenance personnel are completed in a timely manner.
Review and close work orders to be sure the coding of both labor and parts is properly segregated between reason for repair codes and is also inclusive of all parts charged to complete the repair or service.
Determine the best method of repair using an outside facility or repairing equipment in-house.
Develop and maintain relationships with outside repair vendors in local areas with the purpose of developing greatest value when using outside repair vendors.
Assist in determining proper staffing of each shop locations.
Review shop and maintenance processes and scheduling with CSC managers to ensure safety, compliance, and best practices.
Assist shop supervisors and technicians are efficient on parts inventories, parts ordering, opening and closing of repair orders and POs.
Responsibilities:
Carries out duties assigned by the VP of Maintenance and Facilities as required.
Assist VP of Maintenance and Facilities on facility repairs, projects, and needs.
Minimum Qualifications for Consideration:
High School Education or equivalent
Five years experience as a maintenance manager in transportation industry.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Knowledge of DOT regulations, federal and state standards
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects
Self-starter with detail-oriented work habits
Able to maintain confidentiality
Display professional demeanor
Good interpersonal skills; able to work well with wide range of individuals
Excellent customer service skills
Basic computer skills
Knowledge of company policies and procedures
Physical Requirements:
Sitting for long periods of time, walking, finger dexterity, feeling, repetitive motions, talking, hearing and visual activity
Occasional lifting (up to 50 pounds)
Working Conditions:
Ability to travel
