What you’ll do

The Primary Purpose of the Clinical Shift Supervisor is to support the Director of Nursing (DON) in providing adequate and appropriate care for the residents we serve. We strive to meet or exceed the expectations of residents, families, regulators, and team members. The CSS makes frequent rounds every shift to help monitor and evaluate care delivery, creating a culture of continued improvement. Ensures care delivery is consistent with the individualized plan of care for each resident. As delegated by the DON or ADON, monitors, audits, follows key clinical priorities, and resolves concerns/complaints from families and residents. The CSS will work with Physicians/all providers, and the Interdisciplinary team to ensure a well-coordinated care experience including infection control, discharges to the next level of care, and key clinical areas of priority. 

What it takes

• Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing program or Associate Degree in Nursing program
• Current active and unrestricted RN License (preferred) or LPN license in State of Michigan
• Knowledge and experience in Skilled Nursing Facility clinical operations or other appropriate health care setting- preferred
• Experience with LARA / CMS annual certification survey process preferred.
• Working knowledge of electronic medical records, PCC preferred
• Ability to assess care and ensure adequate and appropriate care is delivered.
• Ability to plan, organize, persuade, and solve problems - creating a positive culture that inspires full engagement of team members.
