We are looking for individuals with apartment maintenance experience, construction experience, general handyman skills, or entry level skills with basic general "handy person" knowledge.

• Complete apartment turn-over by using painting, basic plumbing, and general organizational skills to make an apartment ready for the next move-in.
• Ensures that company standards are met.
• Provide excellent customer service for residents and vendors utilizing communication, scheduling, and follow-up in a timely manner.
• Communicate effectively with Property Manager or office staff to ensure proper scheduling and completion of assigned tasks.
• Ensures that on-call maintenance and emergency responses are completed or addressed as required.
• Maintains professional boundaries with all residents, employees, vendors, contractors, and external customers.
• Collaborates with Property Manager to ensure that resident concerns are appropriately addressed in a timely manner.
• Responds appropriately during crisis situations.
• Follows and enforces all fair housing and local landlord and tenant laws and regulations.
• Participates in appropriate community and neighborhood meetings.
• Work occasionally outside normal business hours to respond to the needs of the property
• Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures.
• Able to interact effectively with diverse and vulnerable populations.
• Legally operate a motor vehicle (valid driver’s license and insurance).
• Work in a collaborative manner and in a team environment.
• Ability to effectively communicate with vendors or outside contractors.

Minimum Qualifications of Position

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of one (1) year in skilled maintenance work.

Knowledge and Skills

• Comprehend and communicate in the English language, both orally and in writing.
• Perform basic math and understand measurement systems used in the trade.
• Ability to use maintenance, trade, and testing equipment and tools.
• Define and solve problems.
