United Initiators Branding is Hiring a Maintenance Technician Near Helena, AR
- Provide unlimited availability of each piece of equipment associated with the production of MEKP.
- Establish complete reliability of each piece of equipment.
- Guarantee safe and long-term operability of each piece of equipment used in the production of MEKP.
- This is a safety sensitive position.
- Completing routine maintenance inspection list at scheduled intervals. This includes inspecting belts and bearings, as well as greasing and inspecting oil levels
- Perform daily inspections on each piece of equipment.
- Properly disassembling, repairing and reassembling pumps used in the production of MEKP.
- Identifying and repairing line leaks (air, steam, chemical, etc.)
- Periodically inspecting spare parts inventory, making sure that we have appropriate spare parts when needed.
- Inspect glass lined reactors for leaks, repairing as necessary.
- Changing difficult to access filters, such as coalescer filters.
- Maintaining and installing polypropylene lines.
- Threading, cleaning, passivating and installing s/s piping.
- Assist or inform any specialist that’s required for the repair of equipment associated with the production of MEKP.
- Inform new or untrained employees of the specific hazards associated with your assigned line/lines.
- As needed back up as a boiler operator.
- As needed back up other key areas of the plant
- Research a problem with a specific piece of equipment by reading the manual, calling the manufacturer, speaking with engineering department, etc.
- High school diploma/GED
- 5 yrs maintenance experience in a chemical company
- Have a proactive safety mindset by participating and engaging in all safety activities including compliance with all rules and regulations.
- Must be able to understand verbal and written forms of communication
- Position will require the ability to climb stairs and successfully navigate congested sites without injury.
- Position will require lifting up to 50 pounds.
