We have openings at IRAs all across St. Lawrence County for individuals with a positive attitude and communication skills who will provide direct support services to adults with developmental disabilities and help them live independent and meaningful lives within the community.

While there are opening across the county, our greatest area of need at this time is at the High Street IRA in Morristown (full-time days), Centennial IRA (part-time midnights and part-time days), located between Ogdensburg and Morristown, Spruce Street IRA in Ogdensburg (full-time midnights and part-time days), as well as our Kendrew IRA in Rensselaer Falls (part-time days and full-time midnights).

A driver's license is also preferred.

The primary role of a DSP is to promote skills development and act as a role model, inspiring involvement and participation in recreational, community and/or social activities.

A typical day for a DSP may include assistance with personal care, interactions and daily activities such as travel to medical appointments, attendance at religious services, concerts, sporting, or other community events.

MDSPs also assist with the administration of medication.
