Position Title: Registered Nurse (Med Surg)
Location: Norman, OK, 73071
Job Type: Perm
Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Pay Range: $27.84-45.46/hour (based on education and experience)
(shift and weekend differentials available)
Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Med Surg team at Norman, OK, . As a member of our dynamic team, you will provide compassionate and high-quality care to patients in our Medical Surgical unit.
Responsibilities:
- Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Providing direct patient care, including administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and assisting with procedures as needed.
- Documenting patient assessment, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely in the electronic medical record system.
- Collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure optimal outcomes.
- Educating patients and their families about their conditions, treatments, and self-care techniques.
- Maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and staff by adhering to infection control protocols and safety standards.
- Participating in unit-based quality improvement initiatives and continuing education opportunities to enhance professional growth and development.
Qualifications:
- Valid RN license in the state of OK.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a Medical Surgical or similar acute care setting preferred.
- BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment.
- Weekend availability required; flexibility to work additional shifts as needed.
