Job Title: Medical AssistantLocation: Pittsfield, MA
Hourly Pay Rate: $27/hr (Negotiable)
Shift: Various shifts available:
7:45 AM - 4:15 PM 8:15 AM - 4:45 PM 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM 8:45 AM - 5:15 PM
Position Type: 13 Weeks Contract Position (40-hour guarantee)
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of current experience as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures by taking vital signs, obtaining medical history, and documenting information in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Assist healthcare providers during examinations and minor procedures.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by healthcare providers.
- Perform routine laboratory tests and sample collections.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment for patients and staff.
- Schedule patient appointments, manage patient flow, and perform front desk duties as needed.
- Educate patients on treatment plans, medication instructions, and health maintenance.
- Ensure compliance with all health care regulations and safety standards.
- Minimum 1 year of current experience working as a Medical Assistant.
- Current certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
