Pay/Salary: $73,000 yearly $ 5K sign on, $10K Relocation Assistant

Key Essential Functions and Accountabilities of the Job:

• Implements safe, therapeutic, and efficient care for patients with needs, due to multisystem disease and/or complications of treatment, under the supervision of an RN, using appropriate infection control measures.
• Sets priorities for care of patients based on acuity and/or patients' preference.
• Demonstrates knowledge of equipment use.
• Accurately administers age-specific medications (oral, topical, and intramuscular) and therapeutics (examples include, but are not limited to, oxygen therapy, sterile and un-sterile dressings, catheterizations, IV starts, irrigations, etc.).
• Carries out medical and nursing care plan and coordinates patient care activities with RNs, physicians, and other healthcare team members.
• Facilitates healing by providing nursing care that is individualized, goal oriented, and based on the nursing process.
• Seeks out resources when beyond the scope of skill, knowledge, or experience.

Education, Certifications, and Licenses Required:

• General LPN Education, Certifications, and Licenses Required
• Completion of accredited LPN training program
• Active nursing license in Alaska or other U.S. state required.
• Direct Hire must have applied for an Alaska nursing license at time of hire.
• Agency staff must have an active Alaska license.
• Current basic life support (BLS)
• High school diploma or GED
• General LPN Experience Required
• 1 year of general nursing experience

Experience Required:

• Experience working in a healthcare setting preferred.
• Knowledge of
• Clinic procedures for receiving and following through on a patient visit and any related clinic treatments, procedures.
• Age-appropriate vital signs and behaviors.
• Life-saving procedures.
• Medical terminology and the ability to readily learn and use various computer programs preferred.

• Verbally communicate findings with healthcare team

Required Certifications:

• Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association
