Job Type: PERM
Salary Range Hourly: $22/hour Maximum (for a candidate with a lot of experience), Possible Sign-On Bonus and/or Relocation Assistance discussed during interview.
Shift: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Job Description:
As a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) in Peterborough, NH, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality healthcare services to patients. Your primary responsibilities will include:
Patient Care:
- Greeting and escorting patients to examination rooms.
- Taking vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Assisting healthcare providers during examinations and procedures.
- Performing basic medical procedures as directed by healthcare providers.
- Administering medications as prescribed by physicians.
Administrative Duties:
- Updating patient medical records accurately and efficiently.
- Scheduling appointments and coordinating patient referrals.
- Handling phone calls, inquiries, and messages from patients and other healthcare professionals.
- Managing medical supplies and ensuring adequate stock levels.
Compliance and Documentation:
- Adhering to all relevant healthcare regulations, including HIPAA.
- Ensuring accuracy and completeness of all medical documentation and records.
- Following established protocols and procedures for medical tasks.
Collaboration:
- Working closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Communicating effectively with the healthcare team to ensure continuity of care.
Patient Education:
- Providing patients with information about their health conditions, medications, and treatment plans.
- Offering guidance on preventive care and healthy lifestyle choices.
Qualifications:
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification required.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a medical assisting program preferred.
- Previous experience working as a medical assistant in a healthcare setting preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively.
- Proficiency in medical terminology and basic computer skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
