Responsibilities

UHC's Chief Medical Officer (CMO), is the senior physician in the health center setting and as such isresponsible for the quality management of clinical care for the organization.

The CMO ensures that UHC providers deliver quality evidence-based care that meets or exceeds standards of accrediting bodies andcomply with all applicable laws and regulations.

The Chief Medical Officer functions as part of the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) and contributes to executive decision making by providing input inareas of expertise.

Provides professional medical services as appropriate, and other related work, as designated by the Chief Executive Officer

Qualifications

EDUCATION• Must be a graduate from an accredited medical school and have license to practice inCalifornia. Family Practice or other primary care specialty, Board certification or eligibilityhighly desirable.LICENSE/CERTIFICATION:• Possess a valid CA LicensePRIOR EXPERIENCE:• Minimum of four (4) years of management experience in healthcare preferred.• Professional clinical experience in Primary Care.• Experience in the administrative aspects of a health care delivery system highly desirable.• Must be a strong advocate for the primary healthcare needs of targeted population.
