Canvasser Requirements: 

  • Utilizes emotional intelligence and empathy to address challenges and positively influence others for their benefit.
  • Demonstrates proficient communication abilities across written, verbal, and non-verbal channels
  • Preference is given to candidates with 1 year of canvassing or business development experience, although this position is considered entry-level for individuals who demonstrate the appropriate qualifications
  • Capable of cultivating and sustaining enduring relationships through effective networking and business development efforts.
  • Highly driven to establish and accomplish goals and foster personal and professional growth; open to learning and receptive to coaching.
  • Demonstrates a genuine passion for collaborative teamwork, acknowledging and appreciating the diverse experiences and skills that each team member contributes.
  • Proficient in leveraging technology, particularly CRM systems, to streamline workflow, enhance communication, and monitor outcomes effectively.

Canvasser Expectations: 

  • Embodies the core values and culture of United Roofing.
  • Execute daily sales tasks to meet key performance indicators (KPIs) for canvassing.
  • Comprehend United Roofing's products and services, discern their value propositions, and identify the most suitable customer segments for each offering.
  • Proactively generate opportunities through networking, door knocking, and other effective marketing tactics to bolster sales.
  • Generate a minimum of qualified inspection appointments daily. Qualified appointments entail property owners expressing interest and the appointments being located in areas prone to damage or deficiencies, necessitating a walk-around visual inspection. Record appointments in the CRM and notify your Junior Representative accordingly.
  • Establish action items within the CRM system to effectively manage and monitor prospect follow-up activities. Set deadlines for follow-up actions and ensure the completion of follow-up tasks.
  • Engage in canvassing activities and cultivate community awareness, aiming to secure appointments for a minimum of 5 days per week. You have the option to extend your hours to generate additional income and opportunities for yourself and the team, strategically targeting areas where individuals either work from home or are retired.
  • As your skills advance, you can expand your network by allocating the hours. After the initial 90 days and consistently meeting expectations as a canvasser, you have the option to enroll in our morning training program to progress into a Junior Sales Representative role. This allows you to continue earning income by being in the field during the afternoons while advancing your skills and responsibilities.
  • Convene daily meetings with your Junior Representative to establish daily objectives, facilitate communication, and undergo training and coaching sessions aimed at mastering your role within the team.
  • Schedule weekly meetings with your Leader to establish goals, participate in training sessions, and receive coaching aimed at creating an action plan to master your role within the team.
  • Meet regularly, within the designated time frame, with your Mentor for collaborative improvement reviews.
