UCFS is looking for candidates who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of others! UCFS is currently seeking an experienced Dental Director to join our team to oversee the dental department and ensure the delivery of high-quality dental care to our patients. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide hands-on patient care as scheduled each week
• Develop, maintain and implement policies and procedures to ensure quality patient care and maintains compliance with regulations 
• Provide leadership and clinical guidance to the dental team, including dentists, hygienists, and support staff, to deliver consistently high standards and maintaining the highest quality clinical practices
• Provide feedback in the interview process and orient and train new professional staff
• Evaluate staff to insure performance goals related to production, clinical quality and regulatory compliance are met
•  Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care
• Develop and manage dental department budget

Requirements

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) or Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from an accredited institution
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a dental leadership role
• Current CT dental license

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Strong leadership and management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals
• Proficient with MS Office Suite, Internet and email
