Job Title: Regional Director, Private Banking

SUMMARY

Regional Director of Private Banking is responsible for overseeing and driving the growth of our private banking and investment sales within a specified region. This includes leading a team of Private Bankers and personally building and managing a portfolio of High-Net-Worth clients. The successful candidate will possess a deep understanding of private banking, investments, and trust, and have a proven track record of successful leadership.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Advance degree or designations preferred: MBA, JD, CFA, or CFP preferred.
• Ten plus years of work experience in private banking and wealth management.
• Experience or demonstrated understanding of investments, wealth planning, credit and banking concepts.
• Strong interpersonal skills to represent the bank positively in dealing with clients. 
• Good analytical, verbal, and written communication skills. 
• Must have a sharp business development and client service focus. 
• Possess effective sales leadership and negotiation skills.

JOB FUNCTIONS

• Develop and execute a comprehensive regional private banking strategy aligned with organizational goals. 
• Recruit, develop, and manage a team of Private Bankers.
• Provide leadership to a team of Private Bankers and support staff to achieve sales targets and deliver exceptional client experience.
• Participate in developing the team’s business plan and ensure goals and objectives are being measured and achieved on an individual and team level.
• Set clear performance expectations, conduct regular performance reviews and provide ongoing coaching and feedback.
• Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture that promotes organizational values.
• Monitor regional Private Banking loan portfolio to ensure compliance with credit policy and administration. 
• Manage and build relationships with clients by thoroughly understanding client needs, providing targeted advice, and developing thoughtful solutions.
• Drive business results and acquire new assets, both from existing client base and new client acquisition; advise clients on their overall balance sheet, including, investment management, wealth planning, credit and banking needs.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and internal policies.
• Implement effective risk management practices to safeguard the interests of clients and organization.
• Stay informed about changes in industry and adjust strategy accordingly.
• Participate in all required compliance training, including Bank Secrecy Act/anti-money laundering training, as well as internal and external training programs, online training, meetings, and seminars/conferences, etc.
• NOTE: This position is considered to be a Mortgage Loan Originator under the SAFE Act and Loan Originator under the Truth in Lending Act.

POSITION TYPE

This is a full-time position that requires schedule flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.

TRAVEL

This position requires up to 25% travel.
