Job Title: Financial Advisor

SUMMARY

The successful advisor will proactively market and promote Advisory Services internally to existing bank customers and externally in assigned community markets. They will focus on growing revenue and assets under management by building relationships with key bank leadership in a team-based partnership as well as actively marketing the program in their communities. The advisor will serve as a resource for all advisory, financial planning, and investment related products and services. They will actively support the customer service philosophy and culture of the bank. 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• 4 year college degree or equivalent business experience is required (appropriate experience may substitute for education) 
• Series 7 FINRA General Securities Representative License, Series 65 or 66 Investment Advisory Representative License, Series 63 State Securities License, and Applicable State Life and Annuity Insurance Licenses
• 3 years of investment advisory experience. Financial Institution advisory experience preferred
• Clean U-4
• The ability to learn detailed requirements and logistics of the position
• Participate in all required bank and industry compliance training, including Bank Secrecy Act/anti-money laundering training, as well as internal and external training programs, online training, meetings, and seminars/conferences, etc.

JOB FUNCTIONS

• Identify new clients and grow advisory services revenue and assets under management
• Develop and coordinate relationships with key bank employees in their market, including the market president, private banker, lending officers, RBM, customer service representatives, and all branch staff
• Coordinate and manage all seminars, marketing campaigns, and sales literature for those offices within their markets
• Develop and direct bank employee training and referral campaigns in conjunction with market leadership 
• Manage all aspects of client account opening, management, review, and compliance
• Maintain a compliant non-OSJ office in accordance with the Rules and Regulations set forth by all relevant regulatory agencies including; FINRA, the SEC, and the FDIC and enforced by the broker-dealer, bank and OSJ office

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

This position manages up to two employees and is responsible for the coaching, development, and performance management of those employees

POSITION TYPE

This is a full-time position that requires schedule flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.

TRAVEL

This position requires up to 50% travel.
