Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care assistance to individuals with developmental disabilities or autism
- Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Support individuals in behavior management and social skills development
- Prepare meals and assist with feeding if necessary
- Administer medication as directed by healthcare professionals
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks such as laundry and tidying up living areas
- Accompany individuals to appointments or outings as needed
Skills:
- Experience in home care or nursing home settings preferred
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques for working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities
- Ability to provide compassionate and patient care to individuals of all ages
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with individuals, families, and healthcare professionals
- Ability to lift and transfer individuals safely, if required
- Previous experience in caregiving, nursing, or childcare is a plus
