Job Location: Administration - Orlando, FL
Salary Range: $14.00 - $15.00

Description

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform teacher, lead teacher assistant, or teacher assistant duties in absence of the teacher, lead teacher assistant, or teacher assistant including, but not limited to following lesson plans and daily classroom routines.
  • Implementing lesson plans pursuant to teacher/LTA directions.
  • Implementing individual goals and objectives pursuant to teacher/LTA directions.
  • Utilize and ensure consistent implementation of behavior techniques and classroom management techniques.
  • Assist in implementing individual behavior plans as needed.
  • Ensure and provide basic care giving duties (utilizing universal health and safety precautions) for children, including, but not limited to changing diapers, feeding children, and cleaning childrens hands, faces, etc.
  • Ensure and carry out daily/weekly housekeeping chores for the classrooms, including, but not limited to sweeping floors after meals and activities, wiping tables and counters, cleaning changing tables, placing trash in appropriate containers, and washing, sterilizing and putting away equipment (toys, laundry and dishes).
  • Assist in the communication with therapists and other special service agencies, and incorporate therapy and other special requirements into class activities.
  • Maintain positive staff and parent interactions.
  • Ensure Teacher and/or LTA are informed of all parent and staff concerns and complaints.
  • Ensure concerns with individual students are brought to the attention of the Teacher and/or LTA.
  • Ensure compliance with requirements and guidelines set forth by UCP, HIPPA, NAEYC, Department of Education, 4C, Department of Children and Families, and other State and Federal agencies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications


Minimum Experience:

1 year or more childcare or school experience working with age range/grade level assigned.

Prefer experience working with students with special needs in a multi-disciplinary setting.

Education and Training:

G.E.D. or High School Diploma

AND

If subbing for PreK - 45 Hour Department of Children and Family Training within first 90 days
