Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team. As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide rehabilitative services to patients. Your role will be crucial in helping patients regain mobility, manage pain, and improve their overall quality of life.
Duties:
- Assist in the implementation of treatment plans developed by the Physical Therapist
- Provide hands-on therapy to patients, including exercises, stretches, and manual techniques
- Monitor and document patient progress during therapy sessions
- Educate patients on proper techniques for performing exercises and activities at home
- Collaborate with the Physical Therapist to modify treatment plans as needed
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
Experience:
To be successful in this role, you should have the following skills and qualifications:
- Associate's degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- Valid state license or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant
- Experience in occupational health, acute care, or hospital settings is preferred
- Knowledge of trigger point therapy, medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and geriatrics is a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
