Description
Summary:
This employee will use their hands, tools, and machinery to assemble a variety of sports equipment and athletic products.
Primary Responsibilities:
· Prepares work to be accomplished by studying woodwork instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists, gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
· Positions parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements.
· Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies.
· Operates within standard operations procedures (SOP’s)
· Verifies specifications by measuring completed component.
· Keeps equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.
· Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
· Turn off and lock equipment when not in use.
Requirements
Skills / Qualifications:
· Knowledge and ability to use a variety of hand and power tools to assemble wood to equipment.
· Knowledge of safety procedures while performing assembly tasks.
· Ability to read and understand diagrams or blueprints.
Education
High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED). This is an entry-level position where the incumbent will receive on-the-job training.
