United Alloy, Inc. is Hiring a 1st Shift Production Control Specialist Near Janesville, WI

REPORTS TO: Supply Chain Supervisor

Hours: 7:00am - 3:00pm (OT as required)

SUMMARY:

The Production Control Specialist I will work under close supervision and direction from the Supply Chain Supervisor by organizing and controlling the release of production order documents. This individual will support the production schedule and provide administrative support to the production control department.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Release job orders
  • Print and distribute job order documentation, including reports, technical documentation such as drawings and test sheets, and other items such as tags and labels as required
  • Maintain the UL log
  • Print title packets
  • Ensure that job orders are closed in a timely fashion, ensuring labor, material, and cost data are within tolerances set by department policy
  • Accurately perform transactions within the ERP as required
  • Create rework and training job orders as required
  • Create remake job orders and ensure that all required transactions have been posted for remakes
  • Monitor ERP error transactions related to job orders and take appropriate action to resolve issues
  • Update daily production information (SOP) and communicate updates appropriately
  • Perform cycle counts on a daily, weekly, monthly, or annual frequency, or as required
  • Reverse receiving transactions as required per requests from Purchasing and Accounts Payable
  • Create Vendor MRRs
  • Monitor scrap metal bins and take appropriate action if they are full
  • Perform month end checklist activities, including the counting of inventory as required
  • Create PO Requisitions to maintain inventory of office supplies
  • Manage Customer RMAs
  • Ensure that item stockroom locations with negative inventory are being investigated and the issue resolved
  • Be available to help employees through the employee scrap purchase process as required
  • Investigate ERP transactions to determine the root cause of apparent discrepancies and determine the appropriate course of action
  • Special projects and other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2 to 3 years production experience supporting a manufacturing environment
  • Team oriented and flexible to changing priorities
  • Ability to effectively multi-task and communicate respectfully
  • Detail orientated, with exceptional organizational skills
  • Self-starter with a drive for continuous improvement
  • Experience with office machines including phones, copier, fax machine, and printers
  • Must possess effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be able to navigate in a Windows based computer environment
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, and Word

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Ability to perform in a manufacturing environment that may have high noise levels, dust, chemicals, oil, and grease. Ability to work in an environment that may be either hot, cold or humid.
