Our Technical Operations team is full of aircraft maintenance technicians, engineers, planners, ground equipment and facilities professionals, and supply chain teams that help make sure they’re well taken care of and ready to get our customers to their desired destinations. Technical Operations includes the maintenance, and overhaul of our aircraft. This includes aircraft maintenance technicians, engineers, planners, ground equipment and facilities teams, supply chain teams and more.
The Manager of Predictive Maintenance Engineering (Aircraft Systems) is responsible for developing and implementing innovate predictive alerting and health monitoring solutions for United’s aircraft, engines or other capital assets. The Manager will lead a team of experts to dive into technical details on how their asset area of focus (aircraft, engines or other assets) operate, evaluate existing performance data availability and partner with Engineering teams to implement new engineering modifications as required to gather more data to turn unexpected system failures into scheduled maintenance. The Manager will lead a team of analysts in the tactical delivery of new use cases, work with technology and analytics partners to operationalize use cases and actively participate in Predictive Alerting Committees to deliver novel alerts to frontline teams. They will lead the implementation of United’s Integrated Aircraft/Fleet Health Monitoring program for their fleet area of focus (aircraft, engines or other assets).
NOTE: This position is based at the CSC-Willis Tower, located in Chicago, IL. and considered as a hybrid work-schedule working on a 2-3-days in office schedule, however, that may evolve with the needs of the company.
