Key Responsibilities:

Responsible for leadership of all Technical Operations activities during all shifts of work in the Landing Gear Overhaul and Repair shop, ensuring the highest levels of safety, operational performance and regulatory compliance while maintaining a strong focus on product and process improvement, cost control, productivity and team building.

• Provide leadership and direction to organization including labor workforce to increase efficiency and output in accordance with collective bargaining agreements while ensuring necessary resources are available
• Responsible for shift production, status and turnover
• Report status of operations, highlighting significant events to the leadership team while providing direction to the shop to ensure divisional objectives are achieved
• Mentoring and coaching production supervisors to become effective and confident leaders
• Build/reinforce a fair and respectful work environment through consistent application of CBA work rules and company policies

What’s needed to succeed:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• Aviation, Technical or related subject area
• 5 years of experience in aircraft/aerospace engineering or aircraft maintenance
• A&P License or the ability to obtain a repairman’s certificate
• Strong communications (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills; storytelling
• Able to build relationships at all levels of an organization
• Able to present to senior leadership team
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
• Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
• Reliable, punctual attendance is a crucial function of the position
