Key Responsibilities:

Flight Training Instructional Systems Designers are responsible for the design and development of pilot training digital media assets using Instructional Systems Design (ISD) methodologies. This includes graphics, audio, video, animation, 3D content and other digital media included in pilot training. Applicant must be excellent at written and verbal communication, script writing and storyboard development, including designing and building engaging interactions to enhance the user experience. Experience in planning, time management, and executing projects in group settings and individually is required for long-term success in this role. May perform other job duties as directed by leadership. This is an in-person position with no remote work.

Qualifications

What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):

  • Bachelor’s degree in a closely related field or 3-5 years' proven experience in media creation and creative design fields at a professional and industry standard level
  • Experience with video production including camera operation, editing and delivery.
  • Experience with sound design including recording, editing and delivery.
  • Experience with lighting techniques used in video production or photography.
  • Experience in graphic design, visual design, and digital photography
  • Experience in creating 3D animations or 3D interactive training content.

What will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):

  • 5 years’ experience with Adobe software (Premiere, Audition, Media Encoder, Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, After Effects)
  • Experience using other non-linear Editing software and Audio Editing software.
  • Experience with professional AR/VR/XR development, and have some knowledge in designing, developing, and maintaining virtual reality applications.
  • Experience in Articulate Storyline.
  • Experience using Blender or equivalent 3D Simulation, Motion Design Programs and Real Time Render Programs.
  • Experience in Instructional Systems Design (ISD) methodologies.
  • Experience in the aviation industry
  • Experience using AI (Artificial Intelligence) Audio or Content Creation technologies at an elevated level.

Starting monthly rate is $6,688.37, subject to a collective bargaining agreement. Bonus eligible: yes
