Clinical Therapist – IHBT Youth

This position provides Intensive Home-Based Treatment (IHBT) services to clients assigned to the (IHBT) program. These services include the provision of direct therapeutic services to youth clients with behavioral health illness and adjustment difficulties. The Intensive Home-based Treatment program is designed to meet the needs of at-risk youths in their community which could include their home, schools, etc. This position also requires linkage and advocacy skills as necessary. This position participates as a member of the IHBT services team.

Education/Experience/Other Requirements:

• Requires a minimum bachelor’s degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or related field.
• Requires licensure in the following fields: (LSW, LISW, LPC, LPCC
• Requires valid driver’s license to operate a motor vehicle and access to reliable transportation.
• Must be able to be insured under the agency’s commercial liability policy as a driver.
• Must demonstrate knowledge of mental illness, individual, group counseling skills, assessment skills, and crisis intervention skills.
• Must be able to assume call on a rotating basis and work a flexible schedule that will include evenings, weekends and holidays as team maintains 24-hour responsibility for client care.
• Must be able to work with ill, disabled, emotionally upset and at times hostile individuals..
• Preferred experience working with youths and families. 

Primary Duties:

• Provides therapeutic services allowing the therapist to work directly with families’ multiple times per week utilizing services.
• Provides treatment planning and counseling services to an assigned caseload of clients in accordance with state mandates, established agency and program policies, procedures, and philosophy.
• Documents all services provided and maintains records utilizing the electronic record in accordance with agency policy/procedure.
  Maintains client confidentiality and ensures release of information is handled in accordance with federal guidelines and agency policy/procedures.
