Job Description: Under supervision, accomplishes client care by assessing treatment needs; developing monitoring and evaluating treatment plans and progress; facility interdisciplinary approaches, monitoring client performance. May provide transport via 15-passenger van to clients to and from program as a backup, including some night driving.
The Youth Mental Health Resiliency Clubhouse is an after-school program designed to provide a comprehensive and unique set of services for children and families coping with the isolation, stigma, and other challenges associated with behavioral health needs. The program utilizes creative approaches and experiences to promote resiliency through improving behavioral health functioning, school functioning, decreasing involvement with Department of Juvenile Justice and increasing youth, family, and community engagement.
Job Responsibilities: Monday-Friday 10 AM – 7 PM. Will assist with youth activities on weekends as needed (once a month).
Competencies: Knowledge of diagnostic impressions or criteria. Knowledge of how client advocacy system operates. Knowledge of individual and group therapy techniques. Knowledge of various therapeutic models and intervention as directly related to area of assignment. Knowledge of community resources.
Required Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited program in a helping field. Two years related experience in mental health services preferred. Must possess a valid driver’s license and have a clear MVR. Must be at least 21 years of age with six months experience transporting passengers. Preference for experience with or knowledge of trauma informed, resilience-oriented care.
