Summary/Objective

Provides a clean safe environment for both customers and staff. Performs heavy cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, scrubbing floors, vacuuming, dusting, and washing walls, windows and glass, removing trash and litter, cleaning restrooms, and sterilizing surfaces. Removes snow or debris from sidewalks.

Essential Functions

1. Cleans all areas of the bank. These areas include the offices, lobbies, rest rooms, stairways, staff lounge and other work areas. Sweeps, vacuums, and mops floors, dusts, sterilizes and cleans windows and glass. Removes snow and other debris from sidewalks, trims shrubbery, and waters flowers.
2. Empties waste baskets and transports trash to disposal area daily, cleans staff refrigerator, disposes recycling materials.
3. Performs minor maintenance such as replacing light bulbs.
4. Keeps bank owned vehicles clean.
5. Notifies supervisor when major repairs are needed.
6. Keeps an inventory of supplies and materials needed for maintenance/repairs.
7. As part of the overall team of bank employees, this position may be requested to assist in backup and support of other bank activities.
8. Consistently demonstrates appropriate interpersonal communication skills with customers, coworkers, and outside vendors.
9. Follows all Unison Bank policies and procedures.
10. Regular and reliable attendance.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment

 The work environment is usually quiet. Occasionally works in outdoor conditions.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to move about the facility and constantly positions self to clean in all required areas. The employee occasionally ascends/descends a ladder to service lights and clean windows. The employee must frequently transport or move up to 50 pounds. Must be able to detect areas in need of cleaning and repair.
