Unipec America is seeking highly motivated juniors or seniors to join our Risk team as Credit and Market Risk Interns. As a Summer Intern, you will be expected to interact with cross-functional teams, including trading, operations, and finance to deliver support on day-to-day activities. The successful candidate will have a broad understanding of Risk Management with a focus on credit risk management disciplines.

This is a full-time, on-site internship that is expected to start around May or June and continue through the entire summer term or into Fall 2024, if available. The internship will last for 8 to 12 weeks, depending on the candidate's availability. Unipec America offers the opportunity to gain valuable experience in the commodity trading industry.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the development and implementation of credit risk management strategies
• Conduct credit analysis and risk assessments on counterparties
• Monitor and analyze market trends and provide recommendations to senior management
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with risk management policies and procedures
• Assist in the preparation of risk reports and presentations for senior management

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Finance, Economics, or a related field
• Available for a minimum of 8 weeks for the internship
• Able to work full-time, 40 hours per week
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
• Broad understanding of Risk Management with a focus on credit risk management disciplines
