Union Pardo LLC d/b/a Parlor Doughnuts is Hiring a Den Manager Near Richmond, IN

Parlor Doughnuts is a craft doughnut and coffee shop offering an array of unique bakery items, including our original layered doughnuts; vegan, gluten-friendly, and keto-friendly products; artisanal breakfasts; and specialty coffee. Our goal is to efficiently deliver a superior product, at a moderate price, with exceptional service, in a comfortable setting.

The Den Manager is a leader who exemplifies Parlor values and upholds standards and policies. The Den Manager is responsible for the den and ensures that all doughnuts served meet or exceed the Parlor standard. The Den Manager is also responsible for training/managing Den Team Members and maintaining a safe and clean workspace. As a Den Manager inventory oversight is crucial to proper function.

Duties & Responsibilities

1. Oversee the Den/Back of House Functions:

  • Must be fluent in doughnut making/finishing procedures;
  • Responsible for quality control of Den, including layered doughnuts;
  • Keep a clean, safe workplace; and
  • Maintain fryers, proofers, and other equipment.

2. Provider leadership of Den Team Members:

  • Train and develop Den Team Members;
  • Supervise Den Team Members;
  • Create a “team” environment; and
  • Uphold standards/policies, including dress code of Den Team Members.

3. Manage inventory relating to doughnuts, including dough, toppings, glazes, etc.

  • Submit needs to Shop Manager or designee;
  • Avoid the “We’re out” scenario;
  • Manage Den finances by reducing waste; and
  • Order/purchase supplies needed from approved vendors.
  • Help in all areas of store when needed.
  • Act as shift leader as applicable.

6. Physical stamina to withstand a full shift potentially on their feet

Education and Experience

1. Practical experience in various food service positions

2. Must obtain/maintain ServSafe® or State certification

3. Knowledge/training/certification in kitchen emergencies (First Aid, CPR, Fires)

4. Customer service experience a plus

5. Management experience a plus

Pay: $14.00 - $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
