Navigator Details
Essential Job Duties :
- The Breast Health Care Coordinator's primary function is to assure that any patient with a suspicious mammography finding will receive timely diagnosis and treatment.
- Will identify personnel in departments involved in the care of breast health patients (i.e., physicians, nurses, radiology staff, social services staff, radiation oncology staff, hematology / oncology clinic staff) and develop relationships with them.
- Will initiate communication with patients upon learning they have a suspicious mammogram or positive finding.
- Will build relationships with other patient care coordinators.
Qualifications & Licenses
- Must have graduated from an accredited nursing program
- Must have active IN RN license
- Must possess knowledge of community resources, hospital process, structure and function.
- Must have a powerful desire to make a difference in the cure for breast cancer.
