Union Bank & Trust CompanyPosition: Commercial Banking Loan Coordinator General Description
  • The Commercial Banking Loan Coordinator is responsible for providing administrative support to the commercial lending team. The primary role involves coordinating the loan application process, preparing and reviewing loan documents, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and maintaining accurate loan records. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

  • Support bank-wide compliance initiatives.
  • Communicate with bank clients and vendors to gather information for underwriting and origination of commercial loans.
AccountabilitiesLoan Application Coordination:
  • Assist clients with the loan application process, providing necessary information and answering queries.
  • Collect and organize all required documentation from clients for loan processing.
Document Preparation And Review
  • Prepare and review loan documents for accuracy and completeness based on approved credit presentations.
  • Ensure all loan documentation complies with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate with internal and external parties to obtain and verify necessary documentation.
Compliance And Risk Management
  • Ensure all loans are processed in accordance with federal and state regulations, as well as company policies.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of compliance and regulatory changes affecting commercial lending.
Communication And Customer Service
  • Serve as a point of contact for clients, providing updates on loan status and addressing any issues that arise.
  • Communicate effectively with the commercial lending team, underwriters, and other departments to facilitate the loan process.
Record Keeping And Reporting
  • Maintain accurate and organized loan files, ensuring all documentation is properly stored and easily accessible.
  • Prepare and distribute regular reports on loan status, pipeline, and other key metrics.
  • Manage portals, reports and software to assist in departmental functions such as appraisal engagement and vendor management etc.
Operational Support
  • Assist with the coordination of loan closings, including scheduling and communication with all parties involved.
  • Support the commercial lending team with various administrative tasks as needed.
Expectations
  • Perform job accountabilities with a high level of accuracy and timeliness.
  • Maintain knowledge and understanding of Loan Policy as approved by the Board of Directors.
  • Maintain knowledge and understanding of service standards for the department and departments that are a part of the workflow for this position.
  • Provide open communication to supervisor or manager when service standards cannot be met due to training needs, equipment problems, quality of work received from others.
  • Uphold the employment guidelines outlined in the employee handbook and/or union contract.
  • Develop and maintains knowledge of compliance and internal control requirements necessary to complete the job.
  • Perform duties in compliance with policy, procedure and process.
QualificationsEducation and/or Experience: Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in Business Administration/Accounting or Finance preferred. Previous financial services or legal experience required.

  • Solid computer literacy with common programs such as Word and Excel. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Previous experience with Fiserv or Laserpro is a plus.
