Position Summary:

The Grinder operates grinding machines to assemble products and product parts to established blueprint and engineering specifications.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Inspection of parts

• Removal of defective pieces

• Use of grinding machinery and CNC mill equipment to smooth or polish the surface of the products.

• Setup and operation of surface grinder machines to make precisions parts to print

• All other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

High School diploma or GED certificate

1 years of professional grinding experience (preferred)

Experienced with setup and operation of surface grinders, should be able to hold close tolerance

Must have own precision machinist tools and toolbox

Great attitude

Dependable

Attention to detail and quality

Outstanding attendance

Work Environment:

Manufacturing environment. Employee may be occasionally exposed to moving equipment, mechanical parts in motion, risk of shock and other hazards associated with a manufacturing environment such as overhead cranes, welding, machining, painting etc.

Employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach, talk, hear, taste or smell. Climb or balance, stoop, kneel, reach, stretch, crouch. Lift or more up to 50 pounds. Vision requires close focus, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision, depth perception and focus adjustment.
