What you’ll do

• Lead the month end close process, including preparation and review of journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, financial statements and other required reports

• Management of 1 – 3 team members
• Maintain strong internal controls
• Collaborate on inventory management including costing, cycle counting, year-end physical inventory counts
• Create new Product Codes and Bill of Materials
• Proactively initiate and execute process improvement projects to promote efficiencies
• Assist with annual budget, partnering with all members of the senior management team
• Lead internal and external financial audits; prepare audit documentation
• Review and approve sales rep commissions and bi-weekly payroll; back-up to payroll processing
• Prepare ad hoc reports by analyzing information and trends, and provide strategic recommendations and solutions to business and financial issues
• Build effective relationships with all levels of management and employees within the company
• Liaise with internal/external contacts such as plant managers, sales team, controllers, auditors and corporate office personnel
• Perform other responsibilities as the need arises

What you need to succeed

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in accounting, budgeting, financial reporting and financial data analysis
• Previous management experience
• Leadership skills and desire to improve them
• Manufacturing / standard costing background
• Critical thinking and tactical problem-solving skills
• Passion and curiosity to learn and to stretch your abilities
• Possess a knack for improving processes
• Interest in collaborating on a team as well as working independently
• Versatility with a willingness to roll up your sleeves and pitch in as needed
• Ability to grasp new concepts quickly
• Superior attention to detail

• CPA / CMA
• Proficient with ERP & FP&A systems (we use Microsoft Dynamics NAV-Business Central and Workday Adaptive)
