Position SummaryWe are hiring a Senior Software Developer to join our Tripleplay Services development team. This position is primarily responsible for software platform development and backend system management with C, C and PHP. You will work within the development team to design, develop, test and deliver new functionalities and improve the code base of our IPTV headend technology. 

Primary Responsibilities

• Analyse user requirements, produce specifications and documentation for new features
• Write and test code, refining and rewriting it as necessary and communicate with any engineers involved in the project
• Follow the full software development cycle
• Evaluating and prototyping new hardware solutions
• Develop existing programs by analysing and identifying areas for modification
• Investigate new technologies
• Share responsibility in collaborating with other teams to define and deliver high quality solutions

Required Qualifications

• BSc degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years’ experience working in a similar role.
• Strong demonstrable experience with C, C or other system programming languages.
• Strong experience of Linux distributions, ideally RedHat based.
• Experience compiling and debugging kernel drivers is preferred.
• Experience with mpeg video standards and network programming is preferred.
• Experience with PHP, JavaScript, HTML and CSS is desirable.
• Modern programming techniques such as code reviews, unit testing and CI/CD.
• Experience working with Scrum or other Agile based methodologies preferable.
• Proficiency in Software Development Processes and tools including git, Jira.
