Job Summary:

The manufacturing scheduler Plans, schedules, coordinates and/ or monitors the flow of products through the complete production cycle. Provides timely planning and scheduling of manufacturing work orders to the manufacturing floor to achieve both internal financial goals and customer delivery dates.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review open sale orders and job releases to determine customer service requirements.
• Coordinate delivery of material to expedite flow of materials to meet production schedule.
• Utilize ERP, MES and MRP system to schedule manufacturing.
• Release manufacturing work orders to floor.
• Notify the project manager of any schedule impacts to customers.
• Coordinate with purchasing on material shortages.
• Completes status reports such as production progress, customer information and materials inventory.
• Exercises judgement within defines procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.

Education/Certifications:

• 7-10 years manufacturing experience.
• 3-5 years production planning / scheduling experience.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, cost and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
• Ability to interact well with customers.
• Proficient use of computer systems and software applications including ERP and MRP systems.
• Minimum of 5 years production planning experience in a related industry
• Sheet metal manufacturing experience is a plus.

Location:

• This position requires an onsite presence at our Port Washington, NY office

Salary and Compensation:

• In accordance with the Pay Transparency requirements, the following represents a good faith estimate of the compensation range for this position. At Unified Door and Hardware Group (UDHG), we carefully consider a wide range of non-discriminatory factors when determining salary. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, education, experience, and qualifications. The pay range for this position is $80k-$95k annually.
