Unified Business Technologies is Hiring an Electronics Maintenance Cost Estimator Near Troy, MI

As an Electronics Manufacturing Cost Estimator, you will play a crucial role in the evaluation and estimation of production costs for electronic products. Your primary responsibility will be to analyze various aspects of the manufacturing process, including materials, labor, overhead, and other related expenses, to provide accurate cost projections. Your findings will inform decision-making processes, enabling the organization to optimize production efficiency, control expenses, and enhance profitability.

Responsibilities:

  • · Cost Analysis: Conduct comprehensive evaluations of manufacturing processes, materials, components, and labor requirements to determine production costs accurately.
  • · Data Collection: Gather data from various sources, including suppliers, internal databases, and industry benchmarks, to ensure the reliability and relevance of cost estimates.
  • · Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineers, procurement specialists, and project managers, to understand product specifications, design requirements, and production plans.
  • · Cost Modeling: Develop sophisticated cost models and analytical tools to simulate different manufacturing scenarios, identify cost drivers, and assess the impact of changes in production parameters.
  • · Risk Assessment: Evaluate potential risks and uncertainties associated with cost estimates, such as supply chain disruptions, market fluctuations, and regulatory changes, and propose mitigation strategies.
  • · Cost Optimization: Identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements through value engineering, process optimization, supplier negotiations, and alternative sourcing strategies.
  • · Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in cost estimation methodologies to enhance the accuracy and effectiveness of cost estimation processes.

Qualifications:

  • · Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field is preferred but not a must have. A master's degree or professional certification in cost estimation.
  • · Technical Skills: Proficiency in quantitative analysis, financial modeling, and statistical tools. Familiarity with manufacturing processes, bill of materials (BOM), and product lifecycle management (PLM) software.
  • · Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail. Ability to interpret complex data, identify patterns, and make data-driven decisions. Experience using Microsoft office, excel, word, outlook, etc. Able to read customer supplied drawings and schematics, and able to format an accurate Bill of Material from the information.
  • · Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively present and explain technical information to diverse audiences.
  • · Teamwork: Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and build positive working relationships.
  • · Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities, tight deadlines, and evolving business requirements in a fast-paced environment.
  • · Integrity: Commitment to ethical conduct, accuracy, and transparency in all aspects of cost estimation and decision-making processes.
