UnidosUS is Hiring a Data and Systems Associate, Workforce Development and Adult Education Near Los Angeles, CA

SUMMARY

UnidosUS seeks a Data and Systems Associate to support the data collection, management, and internal operations for the UnidosUS Workforce Development and Adult Education team.

The position is hybrid, and will be based in Washington, DC, Los Angeles, CA, or San Antonio, TX.

Salary: $58,622-$63,489. (salary differentials may apply outside of the Washington DC area.)

Essential Functions

  • Support UnidosUS Workforce Development and Adult Education team in tracking and supporting the analysis of key metrics identifying, measuring, and tracking variables that impact project outcomes and operations.
  • Support the product management and roll-out of internal CRM and reporting platform, Quickbase, within the WFD program staff and grantees. Create meeting agendas and maintain project management tools with internal and external data-related colleagues.
  • Draft standard user manuals and trainings for internal staff, external grantees, and system administrators to utilize Quickbase, as well as other relevant software and technologies.
  • Propose additional features to Quickbase and data systems to collect and summarize program evaluation and operational data more effectively and efficiently.
  • Working closely with the Digital Services team, assist with the development and implementation of data collection systems and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and data quality.
  • Conduct frequent data migration, manipulation, merging of large, complex data sets from a variety of sources.
  • Lead monthly data entry and tracking processes for select WFD programs, including receiving and reviewing survey data, grantee reports, and program tracking. Identify and communicate areas for improvement and support resolution issues flagged.
  • Support data analysis and reflection exercises that that are led by the WFD Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning team; Support MEL team with ad-hoc analyses, briefings, charts, data visualizations, meeting materials, etc. to support component initiatives or programs.
  • Lead onboarding of new grantees or grantee renewals through Quickbase/systems training, preparation of surveys within Alchemer, creation of survey summary reports, and customizations within Quickbase for specific program needs. Serve as a point of contact for technical issues.
  • Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation of project metrics.
  • Supports performance improvement to meet deadlines and expected deliverables.
  • Work closely with the Digital Services and other Programs teams to prioritize business and information needs.
  • Identify and define new process improvement opportunities.
  • Occasional travel to facilitate direct engagement with grantees, programs, and stakeholders through on-site visits, conferences, and training sessions. Although travel requirements are minimal, they play a crucial role in our collaborative success and mission fulfillment.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education and Experience

  • Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in the field of data management and analysis with relevant work experience with both structured and unstructured data.
  • Experience cleaning and preparing large datasets for analysis.
  • Experience with QuickBase, Salesforce, Social Solutions, or similar CRM systems.
  • Intermediate/Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Familiarity with survey building software, including SurveyCTO, Survey Monkey, Alchemer, and Qualtrics.
  • Familiarity with project management software, including Monday.com, Asana or similar tools to organize, track, and manage project tasks and timelines.
  • Familiarity with data quality best practice to be able to make recommendations on how to improve data processes.
  • Experience working with people of diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
  • Demonstrated experience with and knowledge of the Latino community.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience supporting or conducting quantitative data analysis.
  • Exposure to RStudio, STATA, SAS, PowerBI, Tableau or similar technologies.
  • Experience working in a community-based organization or national nonprofit intermediary.
  • Familiarity with the U.S. Latino community and Latino nonprofit organizations.
